Palm Springs, California Speed Traps
Traveling south on Indian, there is a 4- way stoplight with a sign reading No Turn On Red light. It’s rather small, and an officer on a motorbike sits in the parking lot of Frances Stevens Park right there and gives hefty fines to those who make what they think is a legal right hand turn on red light. Fine is $222.00, and the Superior Court Judge will NOT reduce it, only give you more time to pay it. Watch out!
speeders beware–the underpass at Hwy 62 is a speed trap. Also Hwy 111 at Whitewater (bridge). Big fines…..
The cop sits on Indian Canyon by "Bit of Country" restaurant or one of the hotel parking lots and nabs people EVERY morning. The posted speed limit here is 30 mph.
Motor Cycle Cop hides in the alley by Angel View and nabs people before Alejo. Speed limit goes up after Alejo. Tends to nab people Tuesday – Thursday so as not to get the people in town on vacation.
Take Sunrise south. Once you pass the signal at 111 continue past smoke tree at the second left turn is Toledo. Myself, as well as 4 of my friends plus my mom and moms best friend have all received speeding tickets from motorcycle officers hiding in driveways. Usually 7-10 am and 12-3 pm. Recently upped speed limit to 50 however 2 lanes in each direction can easily get you up to 60-65.
