A CHP officer parks on a dirt pad on the shoulder of the northbound 14fwy onramp hill at Ave M. The CHP officer uses constant-on Ka radar and scans motorists as they pass under the Ave M overpass. You can’t see the CHP unit until you’re a couple hundred feet past the onramp since the unit is at the top of the hill and out of your rear-view mirror range.

The Officer will park 15ft off of Rancho Vista on O-8 pointing either Ka Radar or Lidar at either the traffic that just passes him going northwest bound as they can’t see him or at oncoming traffic as they come over the hill where the speed limit changes from 60mph to 55mph. A definite trap.

Palmdale Blvd. (Hwy 138) East & West Bound Btwn. 12th & 20th streets east.

Sheriff park at the Palmdale car wash on the south side of Palmdale blvd. back inside the driveway using radar. They usually are facing west but can get cars going both ways. This area is a big money maker for the city. This is also a case to where you are on top of them before you see them.
