East end of Green Street by PCC

Pasadena, CaliforniaApr 05, 20100 Comments

Just got ticked less than a week ago by one of 2 Pasadena PD motorcycle cops parked behind a large tree at the end of Green Street using their handheld radar guns (they were using Laser when they got me). Speed limit is 30 and I was tagged at 42. This is a good 4-5 block stretch on a one way street so it’s very easy to go over 30. Be easy my friends…

Lincoln Blvd. between Mountain & Orange Grove

The speed limit is 30 mph. A motorcylce cop will sit on either side of Lincoln, using a radar gun to catch speeders. I got a speeding ticket there, and I’ve seen others pulled over many times. Sometimes, a kind person will sit/stand on the west side of Lincoln nearest Mountain warning drivers with a sign that says "Police ahead" or something to that effect.

Foothill Boulevard

Between San Gabriel Boulevard and Sierra Madre Villa Avenue. Pasadena "Mounties" (on Motorcycles) during bright sunny days are known to hide in the shadow created under the 210 Freeway East and Westbound. By the time you see "them" – it’s too late. Also, eastbound on Foothill Boulevard, "Mounties" like to blend-in by hiding in the driveway just under and beyond the 210 Freeway, with Speed-Gun in hand.

Any Street In Pasadena

The city is in a heavy revenue mode, and is ticketing at 5mph over the limit just about anywhere. Do not have a drink in old town. The Police watch it very heavily for extra revenue. I live close to Pasadena and consider it a road hazard on the way to the freeway!!!!

Corson St. @ I-210 Hill St. Exit

Pasadena, CaliforniaFeb 16, 20100 Comments

Usually in the afternoons around 2:30, when the Lake Ave. entry ramp onto the East I-210 is always backed up, there are at least 3 motorcycle cops waiting for cars to speed down Corson St. towards Hill St. This has become notorious as they average at least once per week, sometimes twice.
