Rowland Heights, California Speed Traps
Unit hidden behind strip mall back alley, behind a brick wall, waits for cars going down Albatross downhill curve from the residential area.
Most active during afternoons from noon to 6pm.
Also catches cars making illegal turns out of the strip mall parking lots.
Just south of the intersection going up into the residential area. They also check for left turns that are sign-prohibited there.
CHP Officers with Lidar (Laser speed detector) aiming at cars speeding down the hill. Pay extra attention to anyone standing on the sidewalk. They could be officers with speed gun. The officers will simply wave you down to pull you over. I got busted once. Watch your speed going downhill (under 30mph is OK). The whole Saleroso Dr is CHP heaven for speeding tickets. The street is wider than most other residential streets and easily hit 40mph+ if you don’t pay attention.
CHP Officers hide on Annadel Ave and wait for speeding cars to go past. It’s easy to go over the posted speed limit because the distance between Brea Canyon cut-off and Nogales St is fairly long and it has a steep decline.
CHP parking inside Trailview park. And using radar outside of there vehicle. Giving speeding tickets.
as you come over the hill from Colima to Fullerton road.
