Santee, California Speed Traps
Mast Boulevard near Interstate 52
Usually during the weekday mornings on Mast Blvd between Magnolia Ave and all the way to Inter. 52 there are both CHP that sometimes are literally parked in peoples driveways clocking traffic. Most especailly homes between Cuyamaca and Carlton Oaks. There are also police outside of there cars w/radars standing between cars. So beware!
State Route 125 near Grossmont College Drive
CHP cruiser waits on the Grossmonet College onramp to northbound 125, headed down hill to Mission Gorge. I see one CHP, sometimes two almost every thu and fri that I take this exit during the mid afternoon.
State Highway 56 near Mast Boulevard
CHP will often wait at bottom of Rte-52 (near Mast Blvd exit) East or Westbound. Trap is located at the center of the "Bowl" formed, so traffic going either way is downhill, steep downhil. You pick up some extra speed, they pick up a few bucks. There are plenty of blind construction turnoffs and turns for many CHP to hide. BEWARE!
Mission Gorge Road
As you go downhill from San Diego into Santee through Mission Trails Park. Sherrif likes to be in the mobile home park entrance. I have only seen them during am rush hour.
Mast Blvd. in front of West Hills High School
Cops love to hide in the driveway to the school and adjacent park and clock motorists as they pass by, especially in the Eastbound direction. I have also seen them writing citations at Medina and Pebble Beach roads for red light infringements. Motorists beware!
