Coming from the 23 towards Madera, a team of Motorcycle cops sit on the corner of the housing track were the first signal is that you come too, waiting for you to come down the hill into Simi Valley towards Madera, so they can tag you. I also frequently see a police car in the same area. In addition, they are somewhere in the middle of the section between the 23 and Madera by the private school.

State Highway 118 near Kuehner Dr Crossing

Simi Valley, CaliforniaJul 23, 20070 Comments

Westbound 118 at Kuehner Dr. crossing, be aware of your speed coming down the hill on the 118 from Rocky Peak. Ventura Sheriff and CHP routinely monitor speed from onramp which is not visible from freeway. Simi PD doesn’t seem to bother with it. CHP will sometimes "pace" speeds getting on and off the freeway between Kuehner and Yosemite.

Texas Avenue near Walnut Street

Simi Valley, CaliforniaJul 18, 20070 Comments

Texas is a really long, straight street and it’s tempting to drive over 25 mph speed limit. Motorcycle officers sit in driveways behind cars on the corner of Walnut and Texas. Most of the time they work in pairs. Especially heavily enforced during first few weeks back to school in the morning rush.
