Entire Length of Fountain Ave between La Brea & La Cienega
The entire length of Fountain Avenue is a speed trap Motorcycle cops hide on the sections between La Cienega and Crescent Heights and Fairfax and LaBrea giving radar tickets and there are photo enforced red lights with short yellows at Crescent Heights, Fairfax and La Brea. The Engineering and Traffic Study for the section between Fairfax and La Brea expired in March 2011 and was done illegally during rush hour traffic rather than at during the day as required by law.
Fountain ave near Stanley, south side of street
Motorcycle Cop with radar pointed at eastbound traffic. Usually during am rush hour.
Melrose Ave and Westmount Dr.
They sit in front of Urth Cafe with their speed gun.
Mt. Olympus and Electra Dr.
Seems safe, as you are in a residential neighborhood. But when you hit the stop sign at going up Mt. Olympus at Electra Dr., there is often a cop parked on Electra to the right, just out of sight. Don’t speed and don’t run that stop sign.
Melrose Ave and Almont Dr
Blind corner in cul de sac where officers hide and wait for you to roll the STOP sign. This speed trap has been there for over 20 years.
