West Hollywood, California Speed Traps
Fountain Avenue near La Cienega Boulevard
Officer hidden between parked cars with laser as you approach La Cienega on Fountain.
Cynthia Street near Doheny Drive
Anyone of the side streets between San Vincente and Doheny. Speedtraps and rolling thru stop signs.
Doheny Avenue near Sunset Boulevard
Between Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards, Doheny Avenue runs down a long gradual decline and causes a natural, but unnoticable increase in speed until its too late. Residents constantly "J" walk and therefore complain about the speeding cars.
San Vicente, just north of Beverly blvd
This one is sneaky. After you cross Beverly bl, heading north on San Vicente, the road curves to the left, so that you can’t se too far ahead on San Vicente. A motorcycle cop often sits on the right hand side of the road in a parking lot that belongs to a apartment complex. Anyway, as you round the curve, he is waiting there to zap your speed. San Vicente is very open in parts so people tend to speed. They are especially active toward the end of the month.
