Interstate 25 near Exit Number Uintah Exit

Colorado Springs, ColoradoSep 28, 20040 Comments

A cop pulled on the freeway, then "exited" at Uintah, but faced his car to the south to get a quick take-off. It was an undercover cop in a white Impala, watch for the spotlight on the driver-side above the mirror.

Interstate 25 near ANY OVERPASS/BRIDGE

Colorado Springs, ColoradoSep 17, 20040 Comments

Motorcycle officers will park in the shadow of various overpass/bridges along the I25 Corridor through the city and shoot radar. (they especially like sitting under the Bijou St. overpass, as there’s curves that tend to keep drivers attention on the roadway, and not whats around them) I’ve seen patrol cars park under the bridge in the past, but motorcycles are much less conspicuous. Other officers will sometimes be waiting out of sight on the on ramps so the RADAR officer can radio ahead for vehicles to be stopped. As with any overpass, be alert and keep with the pace of traffic — don’t be the leader of the pack.

S. Carefree Circle near Academy to Powers Blvd

Colorado Springs, ColoradoAug 21, 20040 Comments

The entire length of S. Carefree (from Academy to Powers) There have been very few times I’ve driven down this road and not seen someone getting a ticket. It’s out of control. If you can avoid this route at all, please do.
