Evergreen, Colorado Speed Traps
State Highway 74 near Dedisse Park Trail
By Evergreen Lake at the Dedisse Park entrance. I make the drive every day and they are there at least once a week. No one comes close to going 30 and it is almost more unsafe to slow down to this speed but you will not be sorry.
I-70, Floyd Hill westbound
I-70 westbound was recently reduced from 65 to 55 for Floyd Hill, which is between the Evergreen (El Rancho) exit and Idaho Springs, in particular, dropping into Clear Creek Canyon. CSP has indicated that this stretch of road will be heavily patrolled at peak times (read ski traffic to the mountains) over the next several months, with up to 8 units working the two or so mile stretch at a time.
Stagecoach Blvd, ~200 meters on the Clear Creek side of the Clear Creek / Jefferson County line.
As you are driving into CC county from Jefferson, you go down a large hill, speed limit 40. Half way down the hill you cross over into Clear Creek County & the limit drops to 30. There is a pair of roads that shoot off to the right and the cop sits at either of the two intersections. It is EASY to get tagged at over 50mph.
