South Boulder Road near Via Appia Way

Numerous traps on the 1-mile stretch of South Boulder Road in between McCaslin and Via Appia. Don’t even think about speeding down the hill east of Washington Ave – a cruiser is parked there several times a week to nail anyone who does!

95th St.

The trap is for northbound drivers on 95th St. at the bottom of the hill. The cop sits on a small side street right where the speed limit drops from 45 mph to 25 mph. I usually see this trap late at night, but also in the PM rush hour, waiting for StorageTek employees.

McCaslin Blvd North of US36

Trap can be either Northbound or Southbound on McCaslin Boulevard, one location is midway down the big hill Southbound, the other is Northbound over the crest of the hill, just past the lake at the next subdivision entrance. Standard method is to hide the cruiser behind the subdivision sign. Have seen both traps AM rush hour, PM rush hour, and late night. Beware cruisers in blackout condition–engine on, radar on, all lights OFF. Watch for reflective PD stickers on sides of cruisers.
