Fairfield, Connecticut Speed Traps
Patrol cars sit on the Old Blackrock side, across from Tahmore Drive, clocking drivers going by on Blackrock Turnpike.
Police will be parked on Heritage Drive will a radar gun pointed at either direction of traffic on Congress Street,
Police are usually tucked into Lancelot Road or Frog Pond Lane facing downhill shooting southbound/downhill traffic. Often in unmarked sedan or SUV on right side (downhill side) of Burr Street at entry to above named side streets.
Seen police sit in gas station near Black Rock Congragational Church late nite about 10 p.m. and on doing radar speed limit is 35 mph. Also they sit commuter parking lot in dark near merrit parkway.
Most of the radar is done at night, very little during the day. They mostly sit near the entrance to dump. Once you pass 7 11 just watch your speed some of the cops pull you over for doing 1 mile over limit. They stopped me several times in this area. Other police sit down around the seagrape bar area. Be careful from 7 11 to seagrape bar they sit all over(side roads, driveways, ball field). Make sure you have seat belt on and all lights are working.
