Windsor, Connecticut Speed Traps
I-91 Exit 37
The state police are in love with this area. I have seen them sit on the exit itself on the southbound side monitoring the traffic on 91 (probably radar, but I’m not sure). I also saw one sitting on the exit ramp today (6/7/10, about 11:00 am) on the NB entrance. Not sure if he was clocking the NB traffic or if he was waiting for speeders on the ramp. This is one of the big traps on 91 north of Hartford. Also look out around exit 35AB (grassy median IMMEDIATELY north of underpass), Exit 46 (lots of places to hide on the right side both ways), and exit 34 (on the right–there was one there today 5:30 PM).
I-91 North Exit 36 Park Ave
Officer stationed under the highway to catch drivers who blow the yellow or red at the bottom of the ramp. Daily weekdays at rush hour someone is getting a ticket for trying to be the last car to take the left, a very expensive turn!
Kennedy Rd. on ramp to I91-south bound
Cops actually sit on the ramp, you can’t see them until your on the ramp to get on the highway south bound.
Interstate I-91 south near Exit Number Exit 35
State police sit on grassy median, left side of highway just past the overpass. It’s hard to see them due to high bushes, until you are driving right past them.
The area where they sit is adjacent to Exit 35. They are there typically during rush hour in the mornings, and in the later evenings.
Interstate I-91 Southbound near Exit Number 32
Traveling Southbound, the State Police sit on the left hand side on grassy area, right past the underpass adjacent to exit 32.
