Washington, District of Columbia Speed Traps

Northbound on S. Capitol St., just past the intersection of I St. and the on-ramp to the SE/SW Freeway, cops sit under the overpass. The speed limit is 25, but you can easily build speed trying to make the “green” on the next traffic signal. Since it’s Capitol Hill, the cops are a bit more protective of their turf.

Westbound into city; fixed camera on bridge where speed limit goes from 55 to 35.
