Boca Raton, Florida Speed Traps
North of the library on NW Boca Raton Blvd
This is a particularly vicious speed trap with usually 4 police cars and about 8 cops standing in the road directing cars that they detected to side of road. The speed limit is 30 mph and there are numerous trees blocking the view of the cops in action. I think that virtually every driver on that street was cited for speeding,
Under turnpike overpass
A motorcycle cop sits in the shadow of the overpass; hard to see. He said residents in the nearby development have been complaining, so he might be there more often.
Spanish River Blvd. bridge heading west from Highland Beach
As cars are leaving the beach from A1a at Highland Beach & Boca Raton into town on Spanish River Blvd., police are running a trap at the Spanish River Blvd. inter-coastal bridge. They are parked on the west side of the bridge and using laser to trap people heading east to west over the bridge which has a speed limit of 30 mph. They are running this trap on weekdays during morning rush hour between 7-10 am. I have personally seen them at this spot with cars pulled over four to five times.
