Boca Raton, Florida Speed Traps
NW 2nd Avenue near Spanish River Boulevard
Heading southbound on NW 2nd Ave or otherwise known as Boca Raton Blvd between Yamato and Spanish River. Very often a motorcycle cop with radar lurking. I pass it every day on the way to work and as of today, 7/10/07, I’ve seen him there twice in the last week.
Lyons Road near Clint Moore Road
Motorcycle police sit in the “newspaper”” pull-out on the north bound side of Lyons Road directing radar towards north bound traffic. There are three or four motorcyles police working this trap at one time. “
2nd Avenue near Glades Road
Not far from police station and is divided road with trees between lanes to hide police cars. Posted speed is 35mph and being a 4 lane road it seems way too slow but due to houses on both sides it is clasified as a neighborhood
Clint Moore Road near Boca Raton Boulevard
Clint Moore Road goes over I-95, so there’s a hill. If heading east on Clint Moore, there’s a cop waiting with a laser at the bottom of the hill, as you approach Boca Raton Blvd. He gets you right when you get to the top of that hill. There’s also one on Clint Moore just east of Military. They stand in the middle with a laser puling cars over on both sides.
Lyons Road near Yamato Road
Motorcycle Policemen going North on Lyons just north of Whisper Walk community. They are also picking people up at the corner of Yamato Road and Lyons.
