Bradenton, Florida Speed Traps
Orlando between 5th St and 41
Orlando is a nice wide street with a bike path on one side. The speed limit drops to 25 mph just west of 5th. The police park on a side street where their cruiser can’t be seen and then stand on the corner scanning Orlando with a radar gun. If you get caught they wave you down the side street to give you your ticket. They rack up car after car.
27St E
1)By Pirate City and school on 27St going South and North, 1/2 mile North of Mixons Fruit Farm.
2)Where the school buses park about a 75 ft North of 29th Ave E going North.
3) Hiding on the southern side of 27st E in an enclave by 38 Ave reading south bound traffic.
Suffice it to say all of 27St E is a potential moneymaker.
The lower part of 27St E has many private homes and speeding there is dangerous to the people.
63 Ave south of Target going East
As one is coming from 26th Street going East the handheld units are displayed near the Batteries + and BBT Bank entrance.
Corner of 9th St East and Magellan
Cops sit backed-in, next to the newspaper boxes, under the tree, waiting for east bound Magellan drivers and northbound 9th Street drivers speeding.
Lockwood Ridge Rd & La Petitte
Between University rd and Talavast rd on Lockwood Ridge, the speed limit is 35. DO IT….. FHP has been known to sit at La Petitte school, Greek Church, and driveways along the way. They have even stood right out in the middle of the road with their scanner. Just when you think they are not there anymore.. BAM… my neighbor got a $400 ticket going 44.
