FHP always present at “Jiggs Landing”” using radar.
Speed limit is 30 and usually cars are doing 45-50″
State Route SR64 Manatee Avenue near 7th Street
multiple officers (Mostly BPD, but sometimes joined by MSO) sit near the railroad track and wait – MOSTLY in the morning rush hour traffic. They’ll have one officer standing with the radar gun, while other officers wait in their cars to pull out and stop you.
Bayshore Gardens Parkway near Columbia Street
Cars are posted at streets along side of Bayshore Gardens Parkway usually one is using radar while another is ticketing the cars. Mostly Sheriff’s office, but sometimes Florida State patrol. During morning rush hour during school hours and PM rush hour, east and west bound.
27th East Avenue near Manatee Avenue
Between Manatee Avenue south to Pirate City, spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the summer home of the Bradenton Pirates of the Gulf Coast Rookie League. Speed limit 30 MPH an a two-lane, relatively lightly traveled street. Primary targets appear to be young ballplayers unfamiliar with the area as well as out-of-town fans visiting Pirate City during spring training.
Manatee Avenue near State Highway 64
Manatee Avenue East/State Road 64 Between 1st Avenue and 27th Street East within the city limits of Bradenton. Speed limit 35 MPH on a section of a six-lane, median-divided boulevard. Police in great numbers hide behind trees and amongst cars in adjacent parking lots, usually just around bends in the road.
