Davie, Florida Speed Traps

Flamingo Road southbound between 595 and Griffin Road, usually Saturday & Sunday mornings. Cars and motorcycles alike hide in the grass on the East side of the road (usually a mile before Flamingo Gardens) They also use the entrance to Stonebrook Estates(single family homes on the west side of Flaming)to sit and clock people before the sales office opens at 10am.

As you come south on Nob Hill, you pass Tree Tops Park and there is a curve. If you are speeding, too late to slow down. A Davie officer will stand in the road and wave you and whomever was behind you to pull over to be issued a ticket. The speed limit is 45 and many are doing over 50 on the race to work so the spot gets a lot of repeat visits.

On Griffin Road between the Turnpike & University, enforcement is fairly consistant with Davie police in cars and motorcycles. Most mornings you can find blue lights behind someone’s car if you linger.

Usually FHP will have several cars waiting just over the rise in the fast lane median.They will work both weekdays and weekends. Befor you see them they gotcha.

The speed limit when in the loops of the I-595/Florida Turnpike interchange is 35MPH. Most cars are at 45 and every month or so, FHP will send units for enforcement.
