on this trap, heading north on wickam road, there’s a police out of car next to palm tree shooting laser at drivers going by with his 3 patrol cars out of sight waiting on speeders to be called in. good thing i had my jammer(lp-905). it was sunday and melbourne police got a shipment of laser guns and they are using them. be careful as the main roads in melbourne are using laser as many people dont bother with jammers or dont know about them. a jammer installed is cheaper when it saves you a laser ticket just once when you add up the fees for insurance and the ticket, you could have just paid for all that with just one save-many saves with a jammer-count on it. d

just got back today and there they were again. its on us-1 northbound side on us1 passing univerity blvd. and a small curve comes around then straightens out. unless you have a jammer like me, this is where they already have you on laser and even with a good radar, your toast because of that small curve leaves enough room for the rd unit hard to catch the bounce off anything-but mine did and i have bel 995v, anything less then this probably wont pick up the ka band up either. i have mounted high too. dan

You do not see the officer in his patrol car late at night. He/She usually sits in the median just south of the traffic light near the police station. The patrol car NEVER has any lights on, no running lights or head lights & just sits there in the dark. I also think that this could possibly be a safety hazzard, not only for the drivers, but also for the officer.

Three spots to beware of here. Usually 3-4 motorcycles on the corner of Edgewood and Watkins using radar on both directions of Edgewood. Also, less than 1/2 mile East of that spot, sometimes 1 or 2 cruisers parked in an empty lot near the school crossing. At the eastern end of Edgewood at Country Club Drive often there is a cruiser parked in the gravel parking lot next to the church – he’s hard to see because the lot slopes away from Edgewood and makes it tough to see the police car. This week the city posted big signs on Edgewood with the fines for tickets based on the speeds you’re caught at.
