Naples, Florida Speed Traps
Livingston Road and Veterans Memorial Boulevard
Collier County Sheriff’s Office routinely runs speed enforcement on Livingston Road in the area of the intersection of Veterans Memorial Boulevard during the overnight hours. In darkness, an unmarked Collier County Sheriff’s Office Ford Explorer will sit in the shadows and run instant-on radar at passing cars. The speed limit on that road is 45 MPH, which is reasonable, but you must watch your speed as this unmarked unit is dark in color (blue) and disappears in the shadows with its lights off. The deputy will quickly blip his radar on as you pass. Be extremely vigilant when driving at night in Collier County as these types of speed enforcement techniques are used everywhere and change from night to night but this road is a favorite.
Vanderbilt Drive between 111th St. and Wiggins Pass
Speed limit is 35 mph, but road conditions are similar, or safer, than nearby Wiggins Pass to Rt 41, and Vanderbilt Drive from Wiggins Pass to just S of Bonita Beach Road, where the limit is 45 mph on each. CC Police, sometimes on motorcycles, are routinely radaring from just outside the cemetery on the S end of this section. I am routinely tailgated, and often passed, while driving the limit here. On 4/4/19, while bicycling, I had a discussion with the five officers who were there, but they were unmoved by my arguments.

Watch out so far 3 cars in less than 30 minutes.
SR-84 West / Davis Blvd
A portable white "Tower Cam" located on west side of SR-84(Davis Blvd.) in a small plaza right after Pine Street but before you get to Oak Farm Market. I have no idea what these things do…either they take pictures of your car or they may notify police beyond that checkpoint… Another money making scam brought to you by Collier County
