Baseline Road (SE 58th St, SR35) Maricamp to Silver Spr Blvd
Baseline Road used to be a two lane road with unlimited access of driveways and intersections at every street with a 55 MPH speed limit.
It was rebuilt in 2010 as a 4 lane divided highway with restricted access. The speed limit was dropped to 45 with the improved road and no increase in housing or businesses.
Police typically sit between SE38 St and SE 41 St, near SE 17 St, near SE 8 St, and in the curve south of Silver Springs Blvd.
The only reason to drop the speed this low on such an improved highway is to generate revenue.
Ironically, Maricamp is an undivided four lane road and has a 55 MPH speed limit.
