The deputies usually always sit in the grass median if you’re heading East on Bay Street right after you pass the legacy trail is usually always sitting in the median running radar facing East if you are on Bay Street heading west towards the legacy trail he is running radar towards you it is usually always a marked unit canine SUV speed limit is 35 mph!! No tolerance! Sometimes he sits there was no radar or laser and I suspect he’s using instant on radar to catch you!!
Pine Ranch East Rd/Bay St.
Deputy sits not only between the Legacy Trail and the rotary at Honore Ave., but now sits on Pine Ranch East Rd. facing Bay St., running Radar at cars on Bay St. from a side angle! If you have a Radar or Laser Detector, they’re useless in this situation! He’s already got you! Speed limit is 35 MPH!! Slow down!!
Between the end of Bay Street Legacy Trail and the rotary.
At the end of Bay Street in Osprey the eastbound end in between the Legacy Trail and your first rotary where Bay Street meets Honore Ave, the Sarasota Sheriff sits on the grass median running laser and radar. Speed limit is posted 35 MPH no tolerance!!
Old Venice Rd.
During the morning hours and afternoon hours when Pine View School is starting and getting out, the speed limit in this school zone is only 15 MPH!!
They have yellow blinking lights in this area during these times, and in the afternoon, there’s even a Deputy on the road directing traffic! There’s also a Deputy hiding in the entrance of Pine View School running Radar for anybody in violation of the speed limit! No tolerance! School zone! They will ticket you! Fine in the 15 MPH school zone:
