Palm Harbor, Florida Speed Traps
On Tampa Road – between 15th Street and Belcher Road
Unmarked police watch this area very carefully – especially when school is in. I have seen a Blue Pick Up Truck and a White Pick Up Truck. They are very sneaky and hide a different neighborhood entrances as well as Palm Harbor Middle School’s parking lot.
Alderman Rd.
State police hide on ridge rd or under the hill on alderman rd.
Bridge on East Lake Road at Tampa Road
Going north on East Lake while crossing the bridge over Tampa Road, many times there is a patrol car just past the crest of the bridge waiting for folks who think the speed limit is much higher than it is simply because the bridge looks like an expressway. You cannot see the patrol car until you are right on it — going faster than usual because of the down slope of the bridge.
Nebraska Avenue near County Trunk Omaha
Traps all along Nebraska Ave. by County Sheriffs and State Troopers. Usually done with unmarked car at cross street and other cars for chase vehicles. Fairly regular – say monthly at least. They claim it is in response to complaints, but like most others it is simply a revenue scheme. I have seen as many as four Troopers lined up and ready. 30MPH limit and they will ticket as low as 35MPH.

Tampa Road near US Highway 19 North
Heavy enforcement of anyone running yellow lights at U.S. 19 & Tampa Road – I’ve seen them pulling 10+ cars over in an afternoon as I work right on the corner. The light sequence seems like is doesn’t keep up with flow of traffic so people getting frustrated just trying to get through light.
