Port Orange, Florida Speed Traps
Clyde Morris Boulevard near Big Tree Road
From the Intersection of Dunlawton Avenue to Big Tree Road. Traffic Signals are timed so that they all turn red as you approach them. Usually between the Second and third lights (Herbert Street and Madelline Ave – Both Ways) there will be a Police Cruiser waiting for an Impatient motorist hoping to “Beat the next Light.”””
Charles Street near Railroad Crossing
3 speed traps at railroad crossings in Port Orange. One at the FEC railroad crossing and Charles Street. The second at the RR crossing and Herbert Street. And another at the RR crossing and Commonwealth Blvd.
Airport Drive near Pioneer Trail
Port Orange is a sleepy but over policed town. Officers will stop you for speeding or DW Black in my case.
Tailor Road near Hensel Road
The officers usually sit in the church parking lot, hidden behind a bunch of trees, and they watch the road. They are very particular about the time of day and your speed, because that portion of road is part of a school zone.
Herbert St
Herbert St just west of Nova Rd. Cops sit in a cut-in on the south side of the road. Normally there between 7-9 am and 3-5 pm.
