Posted Speed limit is 25 MPH-Slow Down!

Nob Hill Road/bet Oakland Park and 44 Street

Sunrise, FloridaMar 01, 20020 Comments

Local motorcycle cops set up on the southbound side of Nob Hill just at the newspaper boxes, where its hard to see them coming off a slight bend. Have seen them there many times, raking in a plentiful harvest, usually during mid-day.

Sawgrass Mall Ring Road

Sunrise, FloridaMar 01, 20020 Comments

Local motorcycle cops set up on the broad circular drive surrounding the mall, on the eastern side of the mall, across from Brandsmart. They’re unexpected on “private property”” so the site is very effective for them. “

Pat Salerno Drive

Sunrise, FloridaNov 01, 20010 Comments

Pat Salerno Drive is part of a perimeter road surrounding National Car Rental Center Arena. This approx. one mile section serves as a connector from NW 136 Ave to Sawgrass Expressway Southbound on-ramp. It’s six lanes (3X2)without driveways, cross-streets, or pedestrians. Only gated access points to arena parking. Built primarily to service arena event traffic (some evenings), it’s posted at 35mph. However, without event traffic, it’s a broad pipeline to the on-ramp, with traffic flowing 50-55 mph. City PD parks just before Sawgrass on-ramp to laser cars from about 800 ft as they emerge from a slight bend into their sight. While the 35 limit may even be high for event traffic, it certainly is very low at other times, as the road meets or surpasses safety parameters of 45 and 50 mph boulevards in South Florida.
