Tamarac, Florida Speed Traps
The police officers sit on the northbound side of Lagos de Campo Blvd, about 100 feet before the intersection with McNab Rd. I’ve seen them there several times, and lately I’ve seen them more often. This morning they nailed a bunch of motorists on their morning commute to work. I overheard an officer saying to a motorists that she was driving at 36 mph and that they were there to protect the golfers, since there is a golf course around the area. The speed limit on Lagos de Campo is 25 mph.
Police sit at traffic light. They are on 80th, west side of Nob Hill siting at light catching cars heading south as they come aroind the bend. They sit in the lined out section of the street between lanes.
Florida troopers check your speed from above on ramp going into Florida turnpike south.
1-2 FHP are IMMEDIATLY on the onramp as you enter on the left. They are either getting speeders whipping on to the highway or they are clocking ones on the highway already.
Due to construction, the speed limit abruptly changes from 45 MPH to 35 MPH. The trap is approx. 1/2 mile north of Oakland Park Blvd where an officer with a radar gun is peeking out from behind a fence. Another officer stands in the road and motions speeders to a side road where they are issued a ticket.
