Local police sit in the gas station just next to the F;ea Market and clock northbound traffic during the day and at night. Have observed them there at all hours at night up to 4 am. Night seems to be the time they tend to be there more than other times

The entire town of Umatilla will enforce it’s funky speed limits very aggressively.
There are 4-5 speed limit changes in this small town.
Lately, I’ve seen many semi trucks pulled over.
Back in the day, if you saw someone pulled over, you could be sure that their skin was not white. Yup, Lake County, the basis for the movie "Cool Hand Luke".

Umatilla Police officers are known throughout the county for being the harshest on speeders. And the speed limit is very low for being a (mostly) four lane road with only one small school zone.
Rose Avenue
Heading North on Rose Ave (AKA CR 44 A) from the intersection of 44 A and CR 450, about 1/2 mi. before getting into the town of Umatilla, a UPD patrol car usually sits there M-F from 5-7 pm on the right side, nestled in the orange groves.
