West Palm Beach, Florida Speed Traps

Usually one motorcycle cop on top of the Okeechobee I-95 Overpass. Gets you on the westbound stretch of Okeechobee between Australian and I95. Posted Speed Limit on this 6 lane section of road is 45 mph. Hard to go 45 on this wide open stretch mid-day because there is little to no traffic. Cops know that, and they’ll pull you over right on top of the overpass by pointing.

These guys mean business, they’re pretty vigilant. they’ll give you the 5 mph over or so but don’t push it, they’ll walk right out into the traffic and point you out, don’t even try to ignore if they do, one stays on a motorcycle just waiting for that while the other one tickets. They’re on the Eastbound and Westbound usually closer to Military Trail, they hide behind entrances of condos/villa’s etc… You’re best bet is to stay just behind the first row of cars in the middle or slow lane

The officers hid among the trees on the north and south ends of the rest stop. It is also a supposed construction zone since there are cones there, but I never see any workers right in that vicinity. Officer offered to charge me for going 80 in a 70 instead of 80 in a construction 60 when I said I would contest it.

Traps are set either north or south of Forest Hill Blvd. Several Sheriffs motorcycle and automobile units stop as many as four speeders at one time.
