West Palm Beach, Florida Speed Traps
Flagler Drive between Forest Hill Blvd. and Okeechobee Blvd.
This wide open road was previously posted at 35 mph. Recently changed to 25 mph. WPB Police expects revenue from speeding tickets to jump 50% from this particular stretch of road. Very few incidents of high speed, just an excuse to strong arm the WPB resident!
Congress Blvd. Between 45th & Palm Beach lakes
Four lane blvd. Minimal entrances on east side, canal on west side. Love to hide in apt driveways. Will pick up and ticket at 42 mph for a 40 mph speed limit. No excuses offered.
Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. 1400 block to Australian Ave.
Hide behind a palm tree with the lidar gun while the other patrolman stops the cars heading eastward. Can be there anytime as early as 6am and later in the day as well. Not a safe pull-over area and there is alot of traffic from the mall and people coming home who live on the service road.
US Highway One – North of PB Lakes Blvd.
I think it’s the Dunkin Donut shop that attracts so many fine traffic enforcement personnel to this location. Light traffic, a wide open road, and an artificially low 35MPH limit make this an ideal spot for our heros in blue to save the world from people going 11mph over the limit.
Village Blvd between PBL Blvd and 45th Street
Assembly line speed trap when working. Village Blvd. is a wide Blvd that invites reasonable speeds of around 50MPH but is posted at 35MPH. I’ve seen as many as 8 vehicles pulled over simultaneously.
