Austell, Georgia Speed Traps

In front O South Cobb High School. Speed Limit is 45 but 25 through the zone. Cops actually wait past the school zone but clock people as they go through it. they are there every morning.

City Police sit in parking lots of businesses right inside city limits of Veterans’ Memorial Parkway (Bankhead Highway 78) which goes through Austell, GA. They especially have speed traps sit up to catch you going a few miles over right before the city limits signs coming into their city or leaving their city. Also, watch out for them at the intersection of Thorton Road and Bankhead Hwy. (They have a few miles of this road that they patrol). Fines are very high.

There is usually two Cobb County units on the overpass, both with laser speed detection devices. One will be aimed at cars in the far left lane the other at cars in the far right lane. One the other side of the exit. There are usually 3 to 5 patrol cars on the on ramp, in complete darkness. Sometimes, there is an unmarked driving between Six Flags Dr and Thornton Rd Exits.
