Smyrna Road near State Highway going or coming from Hwy212
Georgia State Patrol will use radar to catch you when they are going in the opposite direction. They also sit in a driveway just past McDaniel Bridge Road and around a curve so you are on them before you see them. Georgia State Patrol and Rockdale County frequently travel this road.
I-20 East Expressway near Salem Road Crossing
As you get close to the top of the hill on I-20 Eastbound at the Salem Road exit there will always be either a City of Conyers Police car or GSP sitting just on the other side of this exit and hill. It is a blind spot and you cannot see them until it is too late. The West Avenue exit in Conyers two exits before this is the same way so be very carefull driving through Conyers, GA because they aim to get PAID!
State Highway 20 near Hightower Trail/Almand Road
They will catch you going down the hill and tag you. they sit in the church parking lot, and in driveways. they patrol hot and heavy on either Ga Hwy 20 or on Irwin Bridge.
Milstead Avenue near Sigman Road
The local police sit in the Scott Ward Funeral home parking lot and catch people who miss the reduction in speed limit sign in front of the hospital or who speed coming down the hill from Olde Town. They get lots of business.
Interstate 20 near Exit Number Salem Rd Bridge, Exit 84 eastbound
This is set on the far east city limits. The bridge is the city limits, so all stops and arrests are made outside the city and often outside the county. Watch for them to follow you some distance before finding some reason to pull you over.
