Hampton, Georgia Speed Traps
An automated camera takes a photo of your vehicle and tag and then sends you a $75 speeding ticket in the mail.
From the Clayton County line to the Spalding County line. Most concentration around Upper Woolsey Rd and the entrance to the Atlanta Motor Speed Way and heavily around Speedway Blvd, mostly southbound traffic targeted. Police vehicle are barely visible due to they are obscured by a dirt bank.
HCPD sits at the entrance to Talmadge Lakes subdivision most often during evening rush hour using laser as cars head south towards Hampton and Griffin. They are usually in the shadows, checking speeds as drivers come down the hill approaching Talmadge Lakes. HCPD uses motorcycles in this same area during morning traffic, but on the north bound lanes.
During evening rush, HCPD sits at the northern entrance to the speedway grounds. Also HCPD and Hampton police sit behind the huge sign at the main entrance to the speedway.
HCPD has motorcycle cops that sit on this small bridge on Hwy 20 on the westbound side with radar guns. Speed limit is 55. so im sure they go after anyone over 65 or so. i got a ticket right here for 72 mph.
