Interstate 75 South near Exit Number Rocky Creek Road

Macon, GeorgiaAug 31, 20071 Comments

Travelling south on I-75, make certain to travel the speed limit of 55 after passing the US 80 / Eisenhower Pkwy exit. Between US 80 and Rocky Creek Road exit is a long curve to the right. Macon Police, Bibb Sheriff Deputies, and sometimes State Patrol wait on the right-hand shoulder for speeders coming around the curve. Because of the nature of the landscape, radar & laser detectors do not pickup – by the time you see them, it’s too late. Note that there is also a photo radar tower At the Rocky Creek Road exit.

Though it is nearly impossible for LE to make traffic stops in this stretch, the city has installed a photo radar tower at this exit. Be very careful – very few people obey the speed limits here, though they really should. There are two exits within a few hundred feet, with a Lot of traffic entering and exiting the interstate.
