Macon, Georgia Speed Traps
Napier Avenue near Buena Vista Drive
The police are normally parked in the parking lot of the 99 cent Beauty Supply Store in the wee hours of the night.
Riverside Drive near Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard
They are normally parked all along Riverside Dr between Spring St. and Tom Hill Sr. Normally you will not see them because they are parked in the parking lots of the businesses. What they will do, rather you a speeding or not, is tail you from the lane beside you and run your tag number. If nothing comes up, and you’re not speeding, they will get behind you and follow as long as possible and will likely pull you over for something bogus like driving on the line for too long. Trust me, everytime my husband and I take the baby out for a midnight drive we get tailed and have been pulled over twice in the same month on this road. Please be careful.
Interstate 75 North near Interstate 475
I have seen all types of units sitting on I-75 North and South bound just after I-75 North bound splits with I-475. Some sit in the median, some on the shoulder, regardless if your going North on 75 after the 475 split slow down until you get all the way through Macon, that would be my best advice.
Interstate 75 near Bridge
Sit under the bridge before exit 169 North bound.
Interstate 75 near Beltway Bypass
Georgia State Troopers hiding in the median behind hedgerows, or stacked up on entry ramps waiting for speeders caught on radar by cops sitting atop overpasses or on the side of the road.
