Madison, Georgia Speed Traps

State patrols in pairs (usually about 4 or 5 pairs) patrol this stretch of I-20 in Madison County going both directions. If traveling east immediatly after leaving Newton and Walton county and entering Madison county troopers are patroling. Usually a trooper on the right side of the interstate is clocking with laser/radar. He gives a signal to his partner parked in the trees in the median who then proceeds to stop speeders and issue tickets. The remaining pairs of troopers are usually a couple of hundred feet further douwn the road and are not noticeable until it is too late.
