Richmond Hill, Georgia Speed Traps
US Highway 17 near State Highway 144
After crossing Hwy 144, onto Hwy 17 the posted speed limit is 35 mph. However, the sign is hard to see and only 300′ up the street is a sign for 45 mph (speed increases right before an intersection). The troopers sit at the intersection behind the 45 mph sign and shoot radar into the oncomming trafic. There is no need for the 35 mph other than as a speed trap.
