Richmond Hill, GeorgiaSep 26, 20070 Comments

After crossing Hwy 144, onto Hwy 17 the posted speed limit is 35 mph. However, the sign is hard to see and only 300′ up the street is a sign for 45 mph (speed increases right before an intersection). The troopers sit at the intersection behind the 45 mph sign and shoot radar into the oncomming trafic. There is no need for the 35 mph other than as a speed trap.

I-95 & US 17

Richmond Hill City Police sit on both Interstate 95 and US 17. They are in plain sight usually on the medians of both roads, often as soon as you enter the City Limits. Slow down when you pass through, I know many people who have recieved tickets usually costing around $100.00
