Suwanee, Georgia Speed Traps
Horizon Dr. from Lawrenceville-Suwanee to Old P’tree
Anywhere up & down this ~ 1 mile stretch. they will sit up by Hadco / Panasonic or at the other end. Some hills block drivers view, but the laser can can get you from a long way.
New cut through from L’ville-Suwanee Rd to McGinnis Ferry
Large hills from each side allow your vehicle to gain speed. Cops have een seen on both sides waiting for violators. I travel this everyday during the week.
Main Street
Policeman on motorcycle, on this 2 lane road, clock speeders with a laser gun exceeding the 25mph speed limit. Also, not coming to a complete stop at stop sign will get you one. This is the road that the Library and New Town Playground are on. Be Warned. $197 for doing 41 in a 25.
Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd @ I-85, both sides
Suwanee cops, especially during the rush hours, sit in packs on either side of I-85 on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. Usually a cop or two stand beside the road looking at traffic (it’s so thick and slow that the cops can just walk into the road and direct cars into parking lots). I assume most folks are being pulled over for expired tags, illegal window tinting, no seat belts, etc because there’s no way anyone can speed in molasses slow traffic. The police presence makes the traffic even worse, of course. Also makes Suwanee feel like a police state.
Most any where in the City of Suwanee
Cops are like flies, they are every where.
