City and county likes to sit in the center median mostly early in the morning and after dark. They tend to hide in the Walker Jones parking lot after dark but you can find them hiding anywhere between the new car dealerships to the state patrol office. The city tends to stop the people coming in to town from Jacksonville, FL that’s the north bound lanes. County targets the south bound lanes. State patrol also sits on US1 about 3 miles south of town in the parking lot of Kings roller rink
US82 W & US82E from each city limit to the other
on the east end a patrol car radar spots traffic bothways. the spee limit is 35mph. Do not go a mile over regardless of traffic. Another motorcycle cop hides behind a building and the car cop radios info to them and the traveler is ticketed. On west end the officer hides at the college entrance, spots vehicles for other officer further up the road. In the early morning, middle afternoon and late evening. BEWARE!!

Local sheriffs and state troopers will hide in the boat ramp alley across from the shriner’s club just where the speed limit drops from 55 to 45 miles per hour.
US Highway 1 near Harrison Street
Cops sit here about everyday or within a mile. Also use motorcycle often and this accounts for most of the speeding tickets.
