Whitesburg, Georgia Speed Traps

This small township has long been known as a speed trap, just recently a friend was stopped for passing the police station for having his lights on bright. Needless to say that my friend had to submit to a roadside sobriety test even though he registered .00 on the breath analyzer.

Whitesburg is located between the cities of Carrollton and Newnan. Most tickets issued are in the school zone (m-f 7:30am-8:30am & 2:00pm-4:00pm)Where the posted speed limit is 25 mph. Watch for changing speed zones, 55 to 45 to 35. They have three marked patrol cars, 2 white ones, and 1 gray one, all equipped with radar.
