Carol Stream, Illinois Speed Traps

North Ave. (Rt. 64) between Gary Ave. and Kuhn Road has been a major speed trap when traveling through Carol Stream. They are always out on Saturday morning and afternoon, 3 to 4 squad cars parked off road ready to pounce. And you are not going to talk your way out if you get pulled over- Carol Stream police have earned their reputation for being the worst around.

Police will park at the curb on Woodhill Lane looking eastbound at Cambridge park. I have seen them also radaring on foot from behind a fence on the south side of the road looking east in this same spot. I know 2 people who have gotten tickets from going 32 amd 33 in a 25.

There is a park just north of North Ave. and the cops always sit there. Carol Stream is really bad. So be careful because Kuhn Rd is very easy to speed on. the speed limit is 35.

The cop usually sits about a half block down from the stop sign they sit there to watch if people blow the stop sign. it is very easy to get pulled over here. they pull you over all the time so make sure you make a complete stop.

On County farm road just west of Rt 64 (North Ave.) The speed limit drops so two patrol cars sit across from each other just west of the light on Rt 64. I had the honors of being the car up front of the pack. So even though we were all going the same speed I was the lucky one. I’ve seen them sitting there many times and tend to avoid this area at all costs.
