US Highway 41 near Belvidere Avenue
Going South or North on Rt. 41, there is often a cop sitting under Belvidere bridge.
Grand Avenue
Cop sits in the side streets right before Six Flags Great America and Speedway. Usually cop is on the side roads of the East moving side of Grand Ave.
Kilbourne Road near State Highway 41
A State Trooper sits waiting on Kilbourne between Grand Ave and Rt. 41. An old school building there, previously empty, is now again being used as a school. Even when no children are present, the state trooper will pull you over for just 3 mph over the limit.
Gages Lake Rd
Police set up a speed trap on Gages Lake in front of Woodland school (between Almond and Hunt Club) and enforce the 20 MPH school speed limit even though no children are present (often well before the school day begins). Police radar is common, though sometimes you will get a warning without any radar at all. This is a very deceptive practice designed to target students at Warren High School. Use a radar detector and watch the 2 entrances on each side for police vehicles.
