Hillside, Illinois Speed Traps
Butterfield Road near Prarie Path Trail
Cops sit in the parking lot for the pool usually facing south and catch you as you come out of that hill/dip there (which naturally causes you to speed up). They’ll be looking straight at ya so by the time you even know thay they’re they your done for.
Mannheim Road near Roosevelt Road
The cop sits on the northside of the railroad bridge in an empty lot on the west side of the road. This location is semi-concealed because of some fences and rubble that are just north of where they sit. So by the time you see the cop it’s usually too late.
Butterfield Road near Taft Avenue
The cops sit in the church parking lot (which is well concealed) and usually catch northbound traffic.
Mannheim and Harrison (about 2 blks south of I-290)
The officers sit in a parking lot that is blocked by a building and bushes, they get people as they are getting off the the expressway.
Junction of I-290 and I-88
Cops are sometimes parked in the U-turn bay on I-290, just west of, but directly visible from, the I-88 exit. However, this is a big bay, as I have seen upwards of ten cruisers parked here. Beware this wolf pack.
