Hillside, Illinois Speed Traps

Going north is a hill on a curve where they are hidden. Going south they’re hidden by trees.
St. Charles Road near State Highway I-290
Coming off of 290 going east on St. Charles Road, Hillside police like to sit just behind or just ahead of the ramp. The speed limit is 30 mph on St. Charles Rd., but because you are coming around the curve off the highway you will proably be going much faster.
Darmstadt Road near Butterfield Road
The speed limit on this rarely traveled road is ridiculously low at 20 m.p.h. Police will park to the west of Darmstadt in the industrial area parking lots by the water tower. Also, they will park at the bottom of the hill near Wolf, in the parking lot to the north, next to the train tracks
Hillside- Avenue near Washington Street
The Hillside Police are enforcing speeds on the side streets especially here by a school. They are also watching the stops signs too.
State Highway 45 near Interstate 290
On State Highway 45, 1/4 mile south of Eisenhower Expressway, sets off the west side of road, just North of train viaduct in amongst over grown brush. Speed limit is only 30 mph on a four lane divided highway, drivers licenses are surrender unless you have a state of Illinois issued ID instead. You must go through the local court system to get license back.
