Niles, Illinois Speed Traps
Howard Street near Caldwell Avenue
On Howard St. east bound (south side of the street just west of Caldwell Ave.), in the parking lot of Joseph Electronics, there is almost always a squad waiting in plain view facing westbound normally. Just last night I saw one across the street, on the west bound side (north side of the street) facing west bound. SL is 30 Mph.
Milwaukee and Dempster Crossing
On dempster, One cop sits facing east and one faces west on either side of the viadocat milwaukee and dempster
Caldwell Avenue near Forest Preserve
I have seen the "Radar Sharks" frequently blending in along the regular cars on the east side of Caldwell, south of Touhy. They like to blend in on the Chicago side right around the Forest Preserve entrance. Be careful especially around the curve if you are heading north, they Will see you before you see them. Niles is both front and rear radar capable, so nobody is immune.
Milwaukee Avenue near Niles
Niles is notorious for their radar traps. You can expect to find radar anywhere along Milwaukee Ave. as soon as it gets dark. The cemetery entrance just south of Dempster is a popular spot, but anything is fair game for these radar sharks.
Millwakee Avenue near Maine Street
Usually when it starts to get dark the Niles cops sit either in the entrance to the cemetary far back where there is no light so no one sees them, or in the parking lot of the Oil Service place about a block before Dempster and I’ve even seen them parked like normal cars any where from Maine street north to about a block before Dempster, watchout they are some of the worst cops out there!
