State police sit in private drives and on side roads (eg St Anthony road). They catch people coming down hill when it’s difficult to maintain 45 without riding the brake. Students are in a rush to get to class or get home after class and frequently get tickets.

The Quincy Police Department also likes to sit along Broadway at about 42nd Street. There is a retaining wall adjacent to a car dealership and they like to hide there as well. The speed trap is at the bottom of a hill and the speed limit is 35 along a four lane street/state highway

US Highway 24/north 3rd one way s/b near "lind" Street

Coming over the first hill after "Lind" an officer hides in the bushes with a lidar gun and runs to his car when you come over the hill to initiate the stop. The unmarked police car is white and parallel parks with the rest of the cars on the road. my incident involved State Patrol not Quincy police department. I was issued another citation 25 minutes later by his supervisor for failure to use a turn signal. Luckily I had video proof he was watching me and It showed I did in fact use my signal. BY the way I wasn’t even speeding to begin with. I was keeping up wth traffic. I was just the last one in line

When you are driving north along the four lane street leaving a residential area. The speed limit is 30 mph. You are going downhill and it is difficult to maintain the 30 mph. The police sit in the parking lot of the park/baseball diamond at the bottom of the hill.
