The Illinois State Police like to get drivers who are either leaving town from a 45 mph speed limit and are accelerating to 65 mph or when drivers come into town and the speed zone drops from 65 mph to 45 mph. You have about a tenth of mile when you come into town to reduce your speed. Or as you’re leaving town, people accelerate too fast and get the radar gun before they "leave" the 45 mph zone

The Quincy Police Department likes to sit along Maine Street where the speed limit is 35 mph. What they will do is sit in a parking lot with other cars and "hide." Before you know it, the radar gets you. Another parking lot in the area has high school kids parking their car there and after school the police department gets the kids as they leave the lot after school
