Wood Dale, Illinois Speed Traps

Elizabeth Drive running east/west between Addison & Wood Dale Roads. Squads are parked just inside the Salt Creek Forest Preserve entrance on the North Side. Heavy tree cover. Long, straight stretch road and 25 posted speed limit.

Wood Dale Road – Approx. 3 blocks of the railroad tracks, east side of road. Squads in parking lot of strip mall behind bushes. Constantly seen during AM Rush.

A speed limit of 20 mph in an industrial park is clearly set up as a speed trap to generate revenue for the village of Wood Dale. The officer will typically park in business driveways, back far enough so you can’t see him until it’s too late.

The officer will sit in the parking lot of the Wood Dale Bowl facing east-bound radaring. I have noticed that you will not see the officer until you pass the sign for the establishment. Officers from that municipality tend to be there and many times throughout the day. At times I have noticed that even two officers will be there.

Going North on Addison road past Lake St after a large water filtration plant there is a hole directly underneath the Highway 355 where they constintly prey. Somtimes they are also on the left side of Addison Road going north a 1 mile earlier in the private apartments.
