From I 69, 30 and 33 drops to 45 and 50… The I69, at that area, the speed limit is 45… They have all sorts of unmarked pimped out SUVs, and mustangs and chargers… Also State Troopers, and Sheriff cars…. All the time, all over that area…. Almost every day…

I-69 from mile marker 116 (Dupont Rd.) to 120

Fort Wayne, IndianaNov 30, 20101 Comments

Speed limit on I-69 thru Fort Wayne is 65mph. The last Fort Wayne exit is Dupont (exit 116). The speed limit does not increase to 70 till you hit mile marker 120 which is stupid since there are no more exits till 126, hence there is no more traffic after the Dupont exit. Speed limit needs to be increased to 70 after the Dupont exit. Have seen many vehicle pulled over in that stretch of road. Mostly unmarked squad cars. Definitely a speed trap.

Sheriffs constantly work this stretch of road. Sometimes he is hidden in the dirt drive for the new subdivision on the right, before you get to the bridge going over 69. But I’ve also seen him parked at a little white church on the corner when you first turn onto Union Chapel from Tonkel. Usually I see him there in the morning and evening. Always catches those speeding because the speed limit is only 45.
