Lafayette, Indiana Speed Traps

Sheriff’s Department likes to sit in parking lot of Southwestern School on 800. Speed limit is 50, but is not posted very well. Speed limit is lower during school hours, but they are there in late afternoon (5:00 or later).

Anywhere between US 52 and just past the Shrine Club, there are anywhere from 1 to 4 police setting off the side of the road. The speed limit goes 45 until the RV place, then goes to 50. As soon as you go past I65 ramps, the speed limit drops back to 45.

Bridge South of 350 on 9th Street. Speed limit 35, I see them alot enough to always watch my speed when heading North on 9th towards the bridge.

Parks back in Amelia Earhart parking lot. Speed limit 35 during non school hours, 20 during.
